Neymar Net Worth 2026: How Much Is He Worth Right Now?
According to estimates from Celebrity Net Worth and major 2026 rankings, Neymar is worth approximately $450 million as of October 2026. Athlon Sports repeated the same $450 million figure on 29 June 2026, so the number that search engines and AI tools quote most often traces back to one main source.
Key Figures
| Category | Amount / Detail |
|---|---|
| Estimated net worth | ~$450 million (Celebrity Net Worth, June 2026) |
| Estimate range | $250M bear / $400M base / $600M bull (Grizzly Bulls, September 2026) |
| Career earnings | Over $700 million gross (Celebrity Net Worth); more than $1 billion (Sportico) |

| Current club | Santos FC, contract to 31 December 2026 |
| Major endorsement | Puma, since September 2020 |
| Ranking | Third among active footballers, behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi |
Neymar ranks among the wealthiest footballers in the world. Among active players, only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi sit clearly above him.
After a short, injury-hit spell at Al Hilal, Neymar returned to his boyhood club Santos in January 2025. Today he earns most of his money away from the pitch, through Puma, other sponsors and his image rights.
Income Sources Breakdown
- Playing contracts: Santos (2009-2013), Barcelona (2013-2017), Paris Saint-Germain (2017-2023), Al Hilal (2023-2025) and Santos again (2025 to now).
- Endorsements: Puma above all, plus partners that Forbes lists, such as Red Bull, MercadoLibre, Blaze and Flutter Entertainment.
- Image rights: NR Sports, the company that holds them, signs his commercial deals. His father, Neymar Santos Sr., acts as his agent.
- Real estate and businesses: property investments in Brazil and abroad, plus the family business around NR Sports.
How He Built His Fortune
Neymar built his wealth on record-breaking contracts at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, a huge Al Hilal deal, a long-term Puma endorsement, image rights and business investments. Even back at Santos, his commercial value stays high: Forbes estimates that he earned nearly three times as much off the pitch as on it over the last 12 months.

How Reliable Is the $450 Million Estimate?
Nobody outside Neymar’s inner circle sees his accounts, so every figure is an estimate. Forbes publishes net worth only for billionaires, which means it tracks his yearly earnings rather than his total wealth.
| Source | Estimate | Date | What it measures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Celebrity Net Worth | $450 million | Updated 9 June 2026 | Single estimate from public data |
| Athlon Sports | About $450 million | 29 June 2026 | Repeats the widely cited figure |
| Grizzly Bulls (bear case) | $250 million | Reviewed 22 Sept 2026 | Low scenario |
| Grizzly Bulls (base case) | $400 million | Reviewed 22 Sept 2026 | Modelled retained football wealth |
| Grizzly Bulls (bull case) | $600 million | Reviewed 22 Sept 2026 | High scenario |
Grizzly Bulls rates its own confidence at just 2 out of 5, and its base case sits $50 million below the headline number. The gap makes sense. Taxes, agents, lawyers and a famously lavish lifestyle all eat into gross pay, so net worth always lands well below career earnings.
We could not find a dated LifeBogger or SportsLeo figure that we could check against a source, so neither appears in the table. For the same reason, treat any Neymar number above $600 million with caution. We apply the same rule to every wealth profile on the Photonfire blog.

| US dollars | $450 million | Base figure (Celebrity Net Worth) |
| Euros | About €401.6 million | €1 = $1.1206 (ECB) |

| Nigerian naira | About ₦598.8 billion | $1 = ₦1,330.69 (CBN) |
Neymar Net Worth in Billion
In billions of dollars, Neymar is worth about $0.45 billion. He is not a dollar billionaire, even though his career earnings have passed $1 billion. In reais and naira, though, the number does run into billions: R$2.25 billion and close to ₦600 billion.
Exchange rates change every day, so read these conversions as a snapshot for 9 October 2026. On these numbers, Neymar is worth roughly 11 to 15 times the $30 million to $40 million we estimate for Nigeria star Victor Osimhen.
How Much Has Neymar Earned at Each Club?
Club contracts built most of the fortune. This table shows the key money moment at each stop.
| Club | Years | Key money fact |
|---|---|---|
| Santos | 2009-2013 | Barcelona first put his 2013 transfer at €57.1 million, then disclosed a total cost of €86.2 million |
| Barcelona | 2013-2017 | PSG paid his €222 million release clause in August 2017 |
| Paris Saint-Germain | 2017-2023 | Forbes valued his five-year deal at $350 million and put his 2018 earnings at $90 million |
| Al Hilal | 2023-2025 | Joined for a reported €90 million fee; Forbes counted $80 million from the contract in 2024-25 |
| Santos | 2025 to now | Far smaller deal; ge reports Santos pays about R$80 million under its contract with NR Sports |
The €222 million PSG fee still stands as the world transfer record. At 9 October 2026 rates, it equals about $249 million, or roughly ₦331 billion.
Injuries then wrecked the Saudi chapter. Neymar tore his anterior cruciate ligament in October 2023, played only seven games for Al Hilal, and the two sides ended his contract by mutual consent in January 2025, CNN reported. You can follow his old club in our Saudi Pro League table.
Add it all up and the totals get huge. Celebrity Net Worth puts his gross career earnings “well above $700 million”. Sportico goes further: it says he has made more than $1 billion in salary and endorsements, and it ranked him No. 30 among the world’s highest-paid athletes for 2025, with $60 million.

How Much Does Neymar Earn at Santos Now?
His Santos pay looks tiny next to his Saudi wages. Brazilian outlet ge reports that Neymar accounts for about 15% of a professional wage bill of roughly R$26 million a month. That points to about R$3.9 million a month, close to $780,000 or about ₦1 billion at 9 October 2026 rates.
Forbes reaches a similar picture from the other side. It puts his on-field income at just $10 million over the last 12 months, down from the $80 million Al Hilal contract year. For a sense of scale, Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal earns more from his club than Neymar now does from his.
Fitness matters too. Santos manage his minutes closely after a knee operation at the start of 2026 and a thigh injury in September. Our injury updates page tracks the latest.
What Is Neymar’s Puma Deal Worth?
Puma announced a “long-term partnership” with Neymar and NR Sports on 12 September 2020, after he left Nike. Puma never published the money. Brazilian magazine Veja, citing two sources who saw the contract, put it at €25 million a year, while Celebrity Net Worth estimates roughly $30 million a year.
Either way, Puma remains his biggest sponsor. He wears the Puma King boot, and he also fronts Puma’s lifestyle and training ranges. That off-field pull explains the Forbes split: $28 million of his $38 million over the last 12 months came from endorsements, licensing, appearances and business returns, not from Santos.

Neymar Net Worth Inheritance: Did a Billionaire Leave Him a Fortune?
No, at least not yet. On 12 June 2023, a single, childless businessman from Rio Grande do Sul signed a will at the 9th Notary Office in Porto Alegre. It leaves “the available portion” of his estate to Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, g1 reported at the time. The state notary association confirmed that the document is genuine.
The story went viral again in September 2025, this time with a “$1 billion” price tag. Here is what the record actually shows:
- The amount: nobody has confirmed it. Columnist Léo Dias reported in 2023 that the man claimed about $1 billion, and some outlets mixed that up with Sportico’s $1 billion estimate of Neymar’s own career earnings.
- The status: the testator is reportedly alive, so no estate has passed to anyone. A will takes effect only on death, and the author can change it at any time.
- The legal limit: Brazilian law reserves half of an estate for “necessary heirs” such as parents. If his parents are alive, Neymar could receive half at most.
- Neymar’s side: his press office said it had received no official notice about the will.
As of October 2026, we found no report of a court case, a probate filing or any challenge to the will.
Neymar Net Worth After the Billionaire Will
Nothing changed. Celebrity Net Worth kept him at $450 million in its June 2026 update, and Grizzly Bulls built its September 2026 range on his football and commercial income alone. Any figure that adds “$1 billion” on top of his own wealth counts money he does not have.

Where Does Neymar Rank Among Football’s Wealthiest Players?
Neymar sits just below football’s billionaire club. Forbes real-time figures for 9 October 2026 put three footballers clearly ahead of him:
- Cristiano Ronaldo: $1.2 billion (Forbes)
- Lionel Messi: $1.1 billion (Forbes)
- David Beckham (retired): $1 billion (Forbes)
At about $450 million, Neymar ranks third among active footballers on these estimates and fourth overall. Ronaldo ($300 million) and Messi ($140 million) also out-earned him by a wide margin over the last 12 months, Forbes says, so the gap keeps growing. Our full list of the richest footballers covers the rest of the top 10.
What Is Neymar’s Status at Santos in October 2026?
Neymar rejoined Santos on 31 January 2025, days after leaving Al Hilal. Santos have renewed his deal twice since then, and the current contract runs to 31 December 2026.
His 2026 has been stop-start. He played twice for Brazil at the World Cup, both times off the bench, and scored a late penalty in the 2-1 last-16 defeat by Norway on 5 July. A right-thigh injury then kept him out from 2 September until 8 October, when he came on at half-time and scored twice from the spot in a 2-2 draw with Flamengo.
Santos have opened talks about 2027, ESPN Brasil reports. Football director Alexandre Mattos says the club’s presidential election on 5 December comes first. For his fitness each week, check our football injury updates.
