This table answers the core “Seattle Kraken record” question in one glance. Seattle ranks 10th in the NHL for goals scored and 23rd for goals against, so the attack carries the team while the defence and goaltending still leak chances.

Matty Beniers won it 55 seconds into overtime. Brandon Montour intercepted a pass in his own zone and sent Beniers clear on a breakaway, and Beniers beat Dustin Wolf with a low shot off the post, as the NHL.com recap describes. It was Seattle’s first overtime win of the season.

Joey Daccord stopped 25 of 26 shots for his first win in three and a half weeks, while Wolf made 27 saves for Calgary. Catton also had a first-period goal ruled out for offside after video review. The win followed a 6-2 loss in Calgary on 30 October, so Seattle answered a heavy defeat against the same opponent within a week.

The Shane Wright trade

On 1 November, Seattle traded centre Shane Wright, the fourth pick in the 2022 draft, to Nashville for forward Matthew Wood in a one-for-one deal. Wood, 21 and 6-foot-4, scored 17 goals as a rookie in 2025-26 and made his Kraken debut against Calgary. The Kraken’s announcement and ESPN’s report confirm the terms.

Injury report

  • Jared McCann (lower body): on injured reserve, out about 10 weeks from 25 October, so early January. He is the franchise’s all-time leader in goals and points.
  • Ryan Lindgren (upper body): on injured reserve, given four to six weeks from early October.
  • Jacob Melanson (chest): out indefinitely.
  • Curtis Douglas (upper body): placed on injured reserve on 3 November.

You can track daily changes on ESPN’s Kraken injury page. Line-up trackers like Champsquads are also handy for projected lines. Is Berkly Catton the Kraken’s Breakout Player?

Berkly Catton leads Seattle with 12 points and now has a seven-game point streak. NHL.com notes that it is the longest streak this season by any player aged 20 or younger. Catton, the eighth pick in 2024, has five goals and drives play at even strength, so he is fast becoming the name fans search for under “Seattle Kraken players”.

Seattle Kraken Games This Season: Key Results

The Kraken opened with a 6-1 win in Calgary on 1 October and went 7-4-1 through their first 12 games. Here are the results behind the record:

  • Wins: Calgary 6-1 (twice), Detroit 6-3 and 4-3 (SO), Washington 5-3, Philadelphia 3-2 (SO), Utah 5-3, Toronto 5-4, Calgary 2-1 (OT).
  • Losses: Edmonton 1-3, Vegas 2-6, Florida 3-8, Minnesota 1-5, Calgary 2-6, plus a 3-4 overtime loss to Tampa Bay.
  • Wild vs Kraken: Minnesota won 5-1 on 24 October, the night after McCann got hurt.
  • Ducks vs Kraken: the first meeting is at Climate Pledge Arena on 23 November.

Two shootout wins and a goal difference of only +1 suggest Seattle’s points total flatters its underlying numbers a little. At five-on-five the Kraken have controlled only 42.5% of shot attempts, but a .918 save percentage has covered for it.

Seattle Kraken Prediction: What Comes Next?

Seattle’s attack ranks 10th in the league, but its penalty kill sits at 65.0%, the weakest area of the team. Against the Rangers on 7 November, the Kraken have home ice and rest on their side. The Helsinki double-header against Carolina is a sterner test, because long travel and a neutral rink usually cancel home advantage.

Any Seattle Kraken prediction should weigh McCann’s absence, Daccord’s inconsistent form (.889 save percentage) and the shot-share gap. Seattle Kraken Tickets and Jerseys

Kraken tickets for home games are sold through the team’s official site and Ticketmaster, with resale platforms covering sold-out nights. The Rangers game on a Saturday afternoon is likely to be one of the busier dates. Official Seattle Kraken jerseys, in the deep sea blue home and white road designs, are sold through the NHL Shop and the team store at Climate Pledge Arena. Buy from official outlets to avoid counterfeit kraken jerseys.
